SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - It is time to
take a peak at the San Antonio Metro area top 200 junior boys in the area for each
track and field event.
There are two athletes who are
currently listed as the top performer in two events. Demetrius Thompson of
Clemens is the top sprinter leading the way in both the 100 and 200 meters.
Brandeis distance star Hayden Scott is the leader in both the 1600 and 3200
meters.
The leaders in the remainder of the
events are spread among large schools, small schools and private schools. Sotomayor
is the newest 6A school in San Antonio and they boast the top 400-meter runner
in Elijah Hernandez. Reagan has a pair of leaders in Derek Davisson in the 300
hurdles and Samuel Abati in the pole vault.
Marcelo Parra of TMI is the top
800-meter runner early in the season while Stockton's Camden Derricoatte leads
the way in the triple jump. Parra is headed to the Nike Indoor National meet
