The 2025 track and field season is here, and the Houston area's UIL 6A - Region 3 is already putting up some of the best performances in Texas. Year after year, this region produces elite sprinters, dominant throwers, and all-around athletes who make an impact at the state and national levels. This season is shaping up to be no different.
Last year, Jelani Watkins lit up the track with a 10.28 in the 100m finals and a 20.56 in the 200m, proving he was one of the fastest in Texas. Kevin Bello showed off his versatility with podium finishes in both the 100m and 400m, while Chris Creedon clocked 4:14.51 in the 1600m, and Griffen Saacke led the 3200m with a 9:14.69.
But that was last season. The bar has been set, and now it's time to see who's stepping up. Some of last year's stars are back and looking to build on their success, while new names are making a statement.
