It's October and we all what that means.

Just in case you don't, it means that the whole point of the cross country season is here. The path to the state meet and the post season is now. Championship season starts with district meets and either your season continues on to regionals or it doesn't.

Signs indicate that this championship season will be another dramatic and exciting season. The indicators are there, but they weren't easy to see. The month of September began hot with a string of big meets and times on September 1 with meets like Marcus I and ended fast with blazing times last weekend at Nike South and McNeil. However, things were rainy and muddy all in between the start and the finish of the month.

Despite the weather challenges, the top of the ranking boards are both respectable and impressive. Flip through the links to see how good the top 500 marks from the month of September are in each distance for both the girls and boys.
