In case you have been living under a rock the last month or so, the 2019 cross country season is well under way.
By now, everyone has at least a race or two under their belt....well, almost everyone. Now, we have a lot of data and statistics to look at things from all angles.
The concept of cross country is to run fast and tight as a group. Keeping the time, distance, and amount of competitors between your runners to a minimum is the key and that is how you win as a team.
Here are the teams with the best splits in the state.
The most impressive teams to note are the McKinney Boyd and the Southlake Carroll girls who both have sub 19 minute averages and sub 50 second 1-5 splits. Boyd has a 19:40 team average and a 24 second split and Carroll has a 18:59 team average and 48 second split.
The impressive boys teams are Katy Seven Lakes, San Antonio Johnson, Prosper, Keller, Houston Strake Jesuit, and The Woodlands who have all 16:13 team averages and 44 second splits or better.
