Manvel Sprint corps....uh, deep and fast! Where do you start? They have at the least 5 guys running under 11.0 open 100m and under 22.0 in the 200. Daniel Ford 10.73, Christion Childs 10.81 (already 7.03 60m in 2016), Jaren Colbert 10.90 (already 6.98 60m 2016), Reggie Hemphill-Mapps 10.92 and D'vaughn Pennamon 10.99. Then you factor in the 6A 200m Champion Deontay Anderson 20.99 and Howard Fields 21.65 PR. Manvel 4 star Quarterback D'Eriq King is left off that list of impressive speedsters. He ran a key leg on the 3rd place 40.61 4x1. The 4x200 also returns all of it's 2nd place and 1:24.50 performance at the state meet. Oh wait, there is one more piece.....Caleb Jolivette who ran 6.85 in the 60m, US # 6 at the Carl Lewis Invite.
The Marshall Buffs also boasts some returning speedsters of their own. Shamon Ehiemua won the 5A 200m as a sophomore in 20.89. He has already posted an indoor US #6 21.61 at the Texas A&M High School Classic. Ehiemua is lookng to continue his 200m success during his junior year, "I'm looking to go sub 20.5." Marshall also returns Cedarein Lynch and Jeremiah Macafee. Lynch was a key member to the Marshall relays last year and had a hot start to the indoor season with a t 7.07 in the 60m start at the Carl Lewis Invite. John Isom, usually a 400m specilist also had a great 60m performance at the Carl Lewis Invite dropping a 7.03.
