Some of the biggest names of distance runners who have come out of Texas have have competed at McAlpine Park. Last year, Natalie Cook ran the fastest time of all Texas girls with her 16:38.

Cook joined previous runners like Paige Hofstad and Chelsey Sveinsson to have run under 17:00 on the South Region course. To crack the top-10 all-time performances from Texas girls, you'd have to run 17:12 or faster.
