Canyon sophomore Addyson Bristow ran 11:49 to win the Lubbock ISD Inv. 4A Girls race

This was a huge week across the board for Texas girls.

We saw many of the state's top two mile racers drop down from the 5,000m distance and oh boy did it pay off.

At the Hoka McNeil Inv., we saw 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A powerhouse girls face off. On Friday, it was Addison Hite from Pilot Point (3A) and Taylor Grona out of Fredericksburg (4A) show off and it was like a heavy weight boxing match with two of the top girls facing off against one another.

We then saw Sophia Bendet from RandolphMakayla Stephens from Maypearl (3A), and Brooklyn Albert out of Poth (also race on the same course.

At Lubbock ISD Inv., there were plenty of more two mile girls crashing the Region 1 course. That's where Addyson Bristow from Canyon many other girls raced.

In total, we saw fourteen girls run twelve-minutes or faster on last weekend alone.
