The 2025 track and field season is here, and the Houston area's UIL 6A - Region 3 is already producing some of the best performances in Texas. Year after year, this region delivers elite sprinters, dominant throwers, and all-around athletes who leave their mark at the state and national levels.
This season is shaping up to be no different.
Last year, London Jackson Bray blazed through the 100m finals in 11.44 and the 200m in 23.72, proving to be one of the fastest sprinters in the region. Taylor Jackson was right there with her, winning the 200m in 23.66, while Madison Peters controlled the distance races with a 10:35.05 in the 3200m.
In the field events, Janey Campbell launched the shot put 46-9, and Brianna Rivers cleared 5-10 in the high jump, highlighting the all-around depth of talent.
But that was last season. The bar has been set, and now it's time to see who's stepping up. Some athletes are continuing to make their mark, while new names are rising to the occasion.
