The girls of 6A Region 2 have put up impressive performances across the board, led by Celeste Robinson (Houston Cyp. Ranch) in the sprints, who holds the region's fastest 100m at 11.56 and tops the 200m rankings with a 23.19. Lily Pierrot (Lancaster) and Saniyah Miller (Lancaster) have also been dominant, both posting sub-11.70 100m times and ranking in the top five of the 200m.
The 400m is shaping up to be a battle, with Datavia Hunter (Lancaster) leading the way at 53.78, followed by Priscilla Adu-Gyamfi (Houston Cyp. Ranch) at 54.62 and Milan Lathan (Lancaster), who has posted three of the top seven times this season.
Middle-distance events have been highlighted by Taryn Bailey (DeSoto), who leads the 800m with a 2:13.24 and holds three of the region's top six times.
Rowan Saacke (Bridgeland) and Lily Fawcett (Bridgeland) have dominated the 1600m and 3200m, trading top marks, with Saacke running 4:46.86 for 1600m and 10:30.08 for 3200m. Stoya Laydevant (The Woodlands) has also been strong, consistently posting top-three finishes in both events.
In the hurdles, Naomi Booker (Tomball) has been the standout, running 13.68 in the 100m hurdles to lead the region. Jayla Cooper (Houston Nimitz) is right behind at 13.70 and has posted multiple top-three performances. The 300m hurdles have been led by Kelcy Horace (Garland Lakeview Centennial) at 42.72, with Graycen Rabel (The Woodlands) just behind at 42.78.
Lancaster continues to dominate the relays, leading the 4x100m (43.84), 4x400m (3:45.41), and ranking second in the 4x200m behind Duncanville, who holds the fastest mark at 1:35.05.
In the field events, Jaydon Isham (Waxahachie) has been dominant, throwing 46-3.75 in the shot put and 156-3 in the discus to lead both events. Ashley Lister (Duncanville) has posted the region's best long jump at 20-2.5, while Shi-eana Hall (The Woodlands College Park) has led the triple jump at 41-1.
The high jump has seen Allyson Otis (Rockwall) clear 5-10 for the top mark, while the pole vault has been led by Brooklyn Nalley (Rockwall Heath) and Kira Bowman (Royse City), both clearing 13-0.
With standout performances across sprints, distance, hurdles, and field events, this region continues to show depth and strength as the season progresses.
