The TAPPS cross country season is off to an exciting and competitive start, with boys across the state delivering standout performances. While San Antonio has traditionally been a powerhouse in TAPPS distance running, the early results show that talent is emerging from every corner of Texas.

At the front of the pack is Noah Verdin (Dallas Covenant), who wasted no time making his mark. In his only race so far, Verdin clocked a blistering 15:30 at the Marcus Coach T Invitational, securing the TAPPS state lead. He currently tops a group of six runners who have already broken the 16-minute barrier-and with the season still young, that number is certain to grow.
