Laney Barnes (Cy Woods) ran 16:34 this past weekend at The Alief XC Classic. It is unverified on the actual distance, but 16:34 is good for anything between 3 miles and 5K. If an actual 5,000m course, that makes her the fourth fastest girl in Texas history behind Natalie Cook, Elizabeth Leachman, and Brynn Brown.

Two-time UIL 6A defending state champion Macy Wingard is No. 2, and UIL 6A 3,200m state champion Rowan Saacke is the third fastest girls this season with her 17:04 over the weekend at the Flatlander Derby.
