The UIL 4A class has two more teams that have had champions who have had several consecutive repeating champions.

The Bandera girls and the San Elizario boys have both won four straight state titles. Can they take the next step in grabbing their fifth straight?

Bandera lost several girls to graduation who have were big parts of their four titles. They could have been facing a full rebuild, but with an excellent coach and motivator and more talent they look to be in position to still bring home number 5.

Their biggest challenge will be the ladies from Canyon. The Canyon girls have been blazing the western trails all season long while making a few trips to the DFW area to get some good runs in. Canyon drops down a class from 5A where they have been accustomed to running 5Ks. The 2 mile distance should seem pretty easy for them and the confidence from the entire season should be a big plus as well.

San Elizario showed no signs of ending their title streak. All season long they have done what San Eliarzio does. They've continued to run fast and well all along, but they did have a mishap at the Regional meet. They were upset by Andrews and Canyon who both have very good squads. Can San Ellie get their groove back and return to their winning ways to grab number five?
