This is the fastest UIL relay season in the history of Texas.

We saw it with the state DMR record being broken twice by Smithson Valley and Cypress Bridgeland.

We have also seen it happen over the course of the season in the sprint relays.

It has been a season long of history making for the Lancaster girls. They broke the national record and became the first school to ever to run sub 44-seconds with their 43.84. Along with that they have run more sub 45.0 races than any team ever.

In the 4x200 relay, Atascocita (1:33.69), Shadow Creek (1:33.76), Lancaster (1:34.12) all ran all-time TX No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 performances with Duncanville adding the No. 5 all-time mark at 1:34.71.

This weekend, Lancaster ran 44.72 in the 4x100 relay andShadow Creek and Duncanville, Mansfield Lake Ridge, and Allen all ran under 46.0.

In the 4x200 relay, Lancaster and Duncanville both ran in the 1:34s with their 1:34.12 and 1:34.71 race at their area meet.
