Breakdown: The girls 100m is the most stacked event at the 2016 Texas Relays across both divisions. Keep your fingers crossed for wind legal conditions! Kaylor Harris is the top returner from last year and is positioned well to take the title with her 11.7(FAT) and 11.44(Hand) season best marks from this season. To pull off the win, not only will she have to fend off Texas' top sprinters, but some tough out of state competition. Some of the top non-Texans include Kierra King, Syaira Richarson, and Ariyonna Augustine who ran 11.58(+4.9) to finish 2nd at the Mt. Sac Relays in 2015. Takyera Roberson enters the D2 race as the overwhelming favorite after posting a a 11.83(-0.3) at the Victor Lopez Classic, but she will have to fight off some elite challengers including 2015 4A100m State Champion Daja Gordon!
