| Breakdown: Chelsey Sveinsson holds two Texas Relays distance records. After this weekend I think she will only have one. Madie Boreman is running better than ever and ran a 4:47 mile at New Balance Nationals. Doubling back after the steeple on Thursday night will be California's Rylee Bowen who recorded a 4:49 mile last weekend. Rafaella Gibbons is traveling to Texas Relays with the Winter Park team from Florida. She hasn't run the times as fast as these other girls, but she has the 800m speed to challenge them if it gets tactical. Also repping Texas will be Hebron's Anna Elkin who seems to be breaking record every time she touches the track this season. This will be Abby Gray's first test of 2016. We will see what kind of early season shape the 2015 5A state champion is in. |
