This is another event that, due to unfortunate weather in Houston and an Area meet cancellation, Isaiah Lucas will not return in to defend his title. Some of the top returnees include Belton's Will Watson, who ran very well at the Region meet with a U.S. No. 5 time of 36.70 for the win. Right there with him will be Bryce Douglas, whose Region time also ties Watson's for U.S. No. 5. The surprise guy who's been running and jumping exceptionally well this season is Joshua Mcgowen from McAllen High. The future Stephen F. Austin running back holds the third-fastest time in the county in this event with his 36.67 from regionals.
