Alexis Duncan is the favorite in this hurdle event as well, but she'll face much steeper competition in this race than she will in the 100mH. Due to an unfortunate fall on the last hurdle in the Region meet, the second-fastest girl in the state, Birexus Hawkins, will not be in the field, but Houston Lamar's Milan Young will be. She's the third girl to run sub-42 seconds this year. Young and a loaded field will chase Duncan for the 2016 title.
