Girls 4x200m
The 4x200m is yet another relay crucial to claiming the team title. It looks like this could be another one that the girls from DeSoto could wrap up if they play their cards right. They come in with the fastest time in the field: a blazing-fast, U.S. No. 7 all-time 1:34.98, which won their Region meet. That's almost two seconds faster than any other team's qualifying mark. This team is no joke, and has potential to break not only the 6A state record, but the overall state record of 1:34.51. But, it's a relay, and anything can happen, so this will be no easy task. Teams from Mesquite Horn and Cedar Hill have been on DeSoto's heals all year, and will look to bring the fire to Austin this weekend. Fort Bend Hightower and Cy Springs will also look to score high and grab some big points.
