Meet Preview: Region III Championships

Region 3-2A Girls 

The battle for first and second place will be a good one to witness. Hawkins program is coming seated first they are led by senior Kylie Adams who has a personal best of 11:42.00

Another program that continuously makes a name for themselves at the state meet is Union Grove they are led by freshman Landry Harris, who has a personal best time of 11:46.00. 

Douglas is looking to punch their ticket to the state meet once again, they're led by Junior Anahy Mays. She has a season best time of 13:09.00

For the fourth place spot, only four points separate these two programs when we look at the rankings for region three. Harleton is led by Jr Lindsay Ipock who has a personal best time of 12:16.00. 

As stated before just four points separate these two teams, another team contending to qualify for state is the Crawford program they are led by freshman Nowlle Miller who has a personal best time of 13:01.70.

Top 2A Girls Individual 

Cara Sims is a new face to Region Three as she is moving from her old region which was previously region two in Grand Prairie. Earlier this season Sims ran 11:33.10 at the McNeil Invitational.

Yarida De Leon a junior at Chilton, is another athlete in contention to have one of the top finishes she previously set her personal best time in the 2 mile just two weeks ago at her district meet clocking a time of 11:50.10.

Audri Parker of McLeod is entering the meet with a newly set personal best time at her district or she clocked a time of 12:53.00.

Freshman Evee Bragg of New Summerfield is one of the top freshmen in Region Three she has a personal best time of 13:03.00 ran at the Hudson cross country invitational.

Region 3-2A Boys 

New Summerfield, they're no stranger when it comes to Region Three they're coming in red hot as the favorite to win the region they're led by senior Andres Ornelas, who has a personal best time of 16:51.00.

Riesel always has a great turnout at regionals; they're led by Junior Matthew Hawkins, who has a personal best time of 17:43.80.

Tenaha boys program continuously makes a name for itself by always putting themselves in contention to finish at the top and qualify for the state meet, this year they're led by senior Eustorgio Flores who has a season best time of 18:0110.

Waco Meyer is looking to punch their ticket to the state meet they're led by senior Marco Cunningham who has a season in Best of 16:46.90 ran last month at the McNeil invitational. Keep in mind he was last year's state runner up.

Top 2A Boys Individual 

Senior Dakota Hinkle of Hawkins High School is coming in with the best time in the region with the time of 16:26.00.

The sophomore from Harleton Braedon Glennen Lovvorn is coming in as one of the top individuals as well. He has a time of 16:55.75 run last month at the Union Grove XC invitational.

Senior Andres Landaverde of Corrigan-Camden is coming in with the time of 17:11.00

Frost freshman David Perez is one of the top freshmen in the region. He comes in with a time of 17:15.10.
