Saniyah Miller (Lancaster) wins the 200m at the 2024 UIL 5A state meet
This outdoor track and field season is coming in hot! Today is only February 10th, but the stats so far are unreal.
From the individual events to the relays, the start to the 2025 outdoor track and field season has started like gangbusters. Saniyah Miller and her Lancaster teammate Lily Pierrot ran 11.64 (NWI) this past weekend in the 100m and Pierrot event went for 23.88 in the 200m.
That is just the tip of the iceberg as the impressions kept coming in. The Bridgeland girls ran a TX No. 1 all-time 11:46 in the outdoor Distance Medley Relay, Aryssa Rodriguez (La Porte) ran 43.85 in the 300-meter hurdles, Shadow Creek blitzed a 45.53, and Fort Bend Elkins went for an impressive early season 3:44 in the 4x400 relay.
