The qualifying standard for the Texas Track and Field Coaches Association (TTFCA) boys long jump is 22-feet and there are 274 boys in the state of Texas who have already met the standard with their outdoor performances. Indoor performances count as well and those aren't reflected neither here nor in the number.
It is safe to say that some of those runners have not qualified for the UIL Area Championship round and some will be eliminated at areas and regionals. However, they'll still have reason to continue to train.
Homeschool, SPC, and TAPPS qualifying athletes will also be continuously training for the TTFCA Meet of Champions.
