Ashlyn McMillan checks in with the fastest UIL 5A girls 5K performance this year with her 17:34 from the
El Paso High XC Invitational. Rowen Skinner, Savanah Moya, Morgan Nelson, and Molly Garrison all check in under 17:50, with three other girls under 18 minutes for the classification so far this year.
With the top two UIL 5A girls returners from last year not racing (Elizabeth Leachman and Brady Solansky), there is a void at the championship space.
