Texas freshmen are quietly stacking up on the girls distance leaderboard this season.
Four of the top 10 freshman girls in the country in the 3200m are from Texas, including Remy (10:43), Reese (10:54), and Iris (10:55)-three sisters from a family that includes two sets of twins, all freshmen. The fourth sister, Elin, hasn't raced an outdoor 3200m or 2-mile yet this year but posted a 10:05 indoors, which would currently be the top freshman time in the country if run outdoors.
The depth runs well beyond the front of the pack as 29 of the top 100 freshman 3200 runners in the US are from Texas.
