
The girls track and field weekend was a bona fide blazing weekend from the field to the track.
In the field events, Skylynn Townsend (Rock Hill) continued to make 19 feet and 42 feet jumps look effortless, Madaleine Fey (Killeen Chaparral) threw 167-1 and Bolaji Subair (Midland Legacy) at 161-6 both tossed the discus over 160 feet. Additionally, in the high jump, the bar got high with Falyn Lott (Frisco Panther Creek) and Oliva Gardner (El Paso Chapin) both cleard 5-10 this weekend.
Indya Mayberry (North Crowley) continued her terror on the sprints with a 11.35 in the 100m and four other girls running sub 24 seconds in the 200m.
In the Relays, Duncanville's pace of 45.27 was a statement in leading six girls teams under 46 seconds in the 4x100 relay. The Woodlands also dropped a state leading 3:48.56 in the 4x400 relay.
Not included is a Texas new No. 1 all-time girls steeplechase performance of 6:43.60 by Staucie Lees (Conroe Grand Oaks). Lees ran the all-time leading mark at the
