Seems like weeks ago, but the 7-8 6A Area meet had an 800m race you won't want to miss!
Winner of the overall Varsity Boys division was Austin Roth of Lake Highlands with a time of 15:36.85 followed by Micah Dettmer of First Baptist (Dallas) with a time of 15:39.62. Winner of the overall Varsity Girls divison was Kaleigh Ervin of Coppell with a time of 12:11.73 followed by teammate Morgan Hoerth with a time of 12:54.64. Team Results: 5A Girls Coppell 4A and Under Girls Forney 5A Boys Coppell 4A and Under Boys McKinney High The meet showcase strong teams from Coppell, Forney, McKinney High and McKinney Boyd. The Coppell girls and boys were impressive with their dominance in the 5A girls and boys division. On the 4A side perrenial state challenger Forney paced the grils division with McKinney High finishing second. The McKinney High girls have won 2 meets this year and finish 2nd for the first time this year.They were paced by Meghan Shea, Tori Newton and Elizabeth Zupanic. On the boys side, McKinney High won for the first time since 2004. They were lead by Jose Hernandez, Ethan Klippert- Rowe and Cameron Vernier.
